Last night, at the Real Club Nautico of Arrecife (Yacht Club of Arrecife), all competitors of the Panerai Transat Classique 2019 were gathered for the traditional welcome cocktail, as a sign of the start of the event.
Julio Romero President of the RCNA congratulated the presence of crews in a 160 years old Yacht Club, illustration of the importance of the yachting in Lanzarote.
José Juan Calero, CEO of Calero Marina, showed his attachment to this wonderful race, carrying the values of yachting and expressed his pride to make available the amazing infrastructures of Marina Lanzarote, as well as a welcoming and professional team.
David Duarte, the Mayor’s Councillor for tourism, wished every team members, and their companions, a wonderful stay in the city Arrecife, forever turned towards the sea.
Finally, Cristina Bernadini, Director of Business Development in Europe for Christophe Harbour, highlighted the race yachts elegance. She looks forward to welcoming the crews in Christophe Harbour to present the beauty of Saint Kitts island.
To conclued, Loic Blanken General Officer of the Panerai Transat Classique recalled the strong commitment of all sailors engaged in this amazing life adventure: racing across an ocean.
After speeches, it was time to savour the excellent local wine from malvoisie and listan grapes, and time share with participants in a spirit of conviviality and great mood.
